Macaw Breeding Pairs

Our Sanctuary is offering one pair of breeding Green-winged macaws for adoption $2,000 OBO. A large chain link cage, perches, and nesting boxes are included with this pair. Macaws are some of the largest birds in the parrot family. These Green-wings are strictly for breeding and are not pet friendly. They are in excellent health, but little is known about their history. Breeding season usually happens in the spring or early summer, with clutches of 2-4 eggs being very common. During breeding season, adding higher fat content to their diet,  such as sunflower seeds, walnuts, almonds, and macadamia nuts is beneficial. Calcium supplements are also important.
